Where would we be?
Without certainty,
Without Expectation,
Mortality?
The eternal balance of nature
Ruling over us all
The higher you climb
The further you fall
From where you came
One day you will return
Although
That place is unknown.
Birth to death
Youth to age
Life is just
A transient phase
In knowing the end
We can plan out our lives
Completing everything
Within our given time
What would we do?
If life had no end,
Expectation and certainty
Were no characters of men?
Nothing is certain
Would we ever evolve?
With no expectation
Would problems resolve?
Make way for possibility
Endless and ongoing
We would continue with dreams
Of limits unknowing
Oh how wonderful
That place would be
Can we expect it
For humanity?
If certainty exists
Then I believe it is so
One day to that place
We all shall go.
